Karla Marie Warth

Sep. 18, 1959 - Jul. 13, 2017

Date of Service: Jul. 21, 2017

PAUL – Karla Marie Warth, 57, of Paul, passed away Thursday, July 13, 2017, at St. Luke’s Magic Valley Medical Center, in Twin Falls.

Karla was born September 18, 1959, in Rupert Idaho, the fourth of nine children born to Carl and Iris (Dowell) Clegg. The Clegg family resided in Heyburn, Idaho. They owned the Chevron station on Overland Avenue in Burley, Idaho, that later became Clegg’s Service and Repair. Karla attended Heyburn Elementary, West Minico Jr. High, and Minico High School. In 1976, the family moved west of Burley, Idaho and she finished her high school career at Burley High School.

Shortly after high school, Karla married her best friend and the love of her life, Phillip Blake Warth, June 3, 1978, at the LDS Star Ward. Phillip and Karla made their home in Paul, Idaho. She worked seven years for JR Simplot in Heyburn, Idaho. After starting a family, Karla scaled back to seasonal work for USDA Potato Inspection, she continued to do this for the next 15 years. She always looked forward to Harvest but was always thankful when it was over and she could be back to being with her husband and four children full-time. She always managed the household along with the children’s sport activities, projects, school work, doctor appointments and any other “emergency” that would arise. Along with spending time with her family, Karla has always had a deep love for the outdoors. She enjoyed camping, fishing, and sitting around the camp fire. She always looked forward to family gatherings and reunions.

Karla was a wonderful, loving wife and a caring, compassionate mother. Her ability to maintain patience, kindness, and positivity even through the toughest days was admirable. Karla and her loving husband Phillip have always been role models of what love, faith, companionship, and marriage are. In her last year of life these characteristics shined through more than ever. The two served as a team in such a selfless battle. Karla is now at peace and no longer in pain. She will forever be in our hearts and never forgotten.

She was preceded in death by her father, Carl Ray Clegg; father-in-law, John Franklin Warth Jr.; brothers-in-law, Neal Brent Warth, and Rob Haag; sister-in-law, Jill Warth; two nieces, Jennifer Clegg, and Heather Clegg; and granddaughter, Natalie Ann Warth

Karla is survived by her loving husband, Phillip Blake Warth; children, Christopher (Jessica) Warth, Krystal (Shaun) Kelly, Amber (Clint) Wageman, John Warth; mother, Iris (Dowell) Clegg; siblings, Davin Clegg, Don (Jolie) Clegg, Teresa Haag, Brad (Andrea) Clegg, Brent (Wendy) Clegg, Dollene (Dewey) Berry, Kaylene (Ray) Hare, Melodie (Tim) Robinson; as well as seven grandchildren, Nicholas Warth, Taylor Warth, MacKinze Warth, Trisha Kelly, Bailey Kelly, Ellie Wageman, and Kenlei Wageman
