HEYBURN – Randy Lee Hayden, a 69-year-old Heyburn resident, passed away April 1, 2018, at St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise, due to injuries sustained from a fall.

Randy was born March 28, 1949, in Burley, Idaho, the son of Francis Duane and Marian Elaine Petersen Hayden. He received his education in the Magic Valley and graduated from Minico High School, the class of 1967. Randy then went on to serve his country as an artillery and special weapons specialist in the US Army during the Vietnam War era; himself being stationed in Europe.

Following his military service, Randy began his career as a well driller. He worked in this capacity for most of his life, enhancing irrigation capabilities in our valley as well as other parts of Idaho.

He has been blessed to spend the past 29 years with the love of his life, Linda Dayley, which companionship has rewarded both of their lives. He loved to spend time with Linda and other family members and friends. He also enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, camping and music.

In addition to Linda, Randy is survived by one brother, and one step-brother; as well as his step-children and grandchildren; and many cousins, nieces, nephews; great-nieces and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his step-father; and one brother.

A graveside service will be held to honor Randy at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 7, 2018, at Gem Memorial Gardens, 2435 Overland Ave., in Burley. Military rites will be performed by the Mini-Cassia Veterans Group.

Final arrangements have been placed in the care of Rasmussen Funeral Home of Burley.
