Margaret Robinson

OAKLEY – Margaret Hale Robinson, an 88-year-old resident of Oakley, passed away peacefully at home, Monday, May 14, 2018.

She was born May 10, 1930, in Oakley, Idaho; the 11th of 12 children born to Albert H. Hale Jr. and Mary Lucille Pettigrew Hale. She attended school in Oakley until she met her eternal companion, Robert T. Robinson. Bob and Margaret shared 59 wonderful years together in Oakley. During this time they farmed, ranched and raised three children: Jerry, Jill and Rick.

Margaret loved to quilt, crochet and do arts and crafts. She was an amazing baker and cook. It was never hard to find people to help trail cattle because they knew that Margaret would be cooking something good. Margaret loved going to the ranch where she scouted for rocks and arrow heads to add to her collection. She lived for the Robinson Labor Day party. She also enjoyed playing cards with all of her friends and family. She was an active member of the Pink Ladies for many years.

Margaret loved spending time with family and friends, especially her grandchildren. Margaret was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

She is survived by her son, Rick R. (Alyssa) Robinson of Oakley; daughter-in-law, Doris Robinson Brocksopp of Boise; son-in-law, Scott Winn of Paul; two sisters, Martha Hale Bench of Oakley, and Helen Hale Grey of Utah; 11 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; her parents; her son, Jerry Robert Robinson; her daughter, Jill Robinson Winn; and her grandson, Brandon Robinson.

The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 19, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints – Oakley Stake Center, located at 355 N. Center St., in Oakley. Bishop Wayne Lind will be officiating. Burial will follow at the Oakley Cemetery.

Friends may call from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday, May 18, at Rasmussen Funeral Home, 1350 E. 16th St., in Burley and from 10 until 10:45 a.m. Saturday preceding the service at the church.

The family would like to express their special thanks to the Burley DaVita and staff for their loving care of Margaret for nearly eight years.
