Anthony Jolley

Anthony (Tony) Jolley passed away peacefully in the Boise, Idaho VA on July 17, 2018, at the age of 69.

Tony was born December 9, 1948, in Burley, Idaho, to Wayne and Angeles Menchaca Jolley. He graduated from Minico High School in 1967. He married Clellie Graf, his high school sweetheart, in 1968. He served in the United States Army as a Sergeant and completed two tours in Vietnam and received a Purple Heart for injuries sustained in the line of duty. After Vietnam, he worked at Ore-Ida for a few years and then started his own auto body shop, West Main Auto Body. The couple welcomed three children into their home, Chad, Charity and Chantel. His children remember him as a kind, gentle, patient and driven father who encouraged them to pursue their goals.

Tony was accomplished at numerous trades including auto body, long-haul truck driving and carpentry. He was a generous, witty, dedicated and passionate individual who loved his family and friends. He also enjoyed long rides on his Harley and camping with everyone he loved.

Tony is survived by his wife, Clellie Marie Jolley; his three children, Chad Jolley (wife, Denise Jolley) of LaGrande, Oregon, Charity Chesley (husband, David Chesley) of Burley, and Chantel Jolley (husband, Rick Lovan) of Meridian; his brothers, Dioni Jolley and Julian Jolley; his sister, Angela Jolley; and 12 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wayne and Angeles Jolley; his brothers, Michael Jolley, Jeffrey Jolley and Nicholas Jolley; and his sister, Tina Jolley.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 27, at Rasmussen Funeral Home, 1350 E. 16th St., in Burley. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Tony’s life. Military rites will be provided by the Mini-Cassia Veterans Group.
