Darren Quinn Warren

Sep. 23, 1985 - Aug. 4, 2018

Date of Service: Aug. 11, 2018

Darren Quinn Warren, a 32-year-old resident of Burley, died unexpectedly Saturday, August 4, 2018, of natural causes.

Darren was the third child born to Merle and Jeanette (Bean) Warren in Twin Falls, Idaho, on Sept. 23, 1985. He was raised in Burley where he spent his childhood playing video games, riding his bike, swimming, building Legos, and going camping, four-wheeling, and snowmobiling with his family. He graduated from Burley High School in 2004 where he enjoyed his IT classes and good friends. He earned his Eagle Scout Award on September 25, 2003.

After high school, he lived in Pocatello for a time, moved back to Burley, and then settled in Idaho Falls for seven years. He spent his final year home in Burley near his loved ones.

For most of his life, Darren enjoyed all things Japanese including the language, anime, and Nintendo. He was very creative and made several of his own board games which he had hoped to sell someday. He was quiet and introverted, and to those who knew him best, he was kind, considerate, giving, selfless, intelligent, really great with computers, had the biggest heart and best bear hugs, had a great sense of humor, and, loved to laugh. He was also wonderful with children and loved spending time with his nieces and nephews who lovingly dubbed him "Uncle Wookie."

Darren spent the month of July with his extended family and even met two of his nephews for the first time. He played Chess and Minecraft with them, gave them piggyback rides, and went on a hike and picnic in the South Hills. He visited with his parents and siblings and watched "The Last Jedi" with them. He is greatly loved and will be sorely missed.

Darren is survived by his parents, Merle and Jeanette Warren of Burley; his grandparents, Clinton and Beverly Bean of Twin Falls; his brothers, JC (Stephanie) Warren of Burley and Curtis (Vicky) Warren of Anchorage, Alaska; his sister, Trisha (Brian) Gronenthal of Twin Falls; and 12 adoring nieces and nephews (Cyrus, Cedric, Harlee, Hudson, Trey, Cameron, Ally, Caspian, Grayson, Cecil, Shelbee, and Jaymeson).

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Arthella Warren of Burley; and one nephew, Axel Warren, also of Burley.

The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 11, at Rasmussen-Wilson Funeral Home, 1350 E. 16th St., Burley, with Bishop Bruce Bean officiating. Burial will be in View Cemetery.

Friends may call from 10 until 10:45 a.m. Saturday, preceding the service at the funeral home.
