BURLEY – On April 2, 2018, Larry Andrew Holm left us to celebrate his beloved wife’s birthday with her in heaven.

Larry was born November 20, 1933, in Burley, Idaho. He was the second of five children born to Jim and Thelma Holm. He lived his whole life in the Burley area and enjoyed playing sports such as football, basketball and running track in his youthful days.

He met the love of his life when she and her friends pretended to run out of gas and he came to the rescue and pushed them home. Later, she confessed to him and he married her anyway. On January 3, 1956, he married Margean Wilcox in Elko, Nevada.. They were blessed with four children. He spent a lot of time with his family on road trips, camping, fishing and trail riding on his four-wheeler.

Larry was a hard worker and worked most of his adult life for the Bureau of Reclamation maintaining several of the dams around the area. After retiring from that job, he worked at the Burley golf course maintaining the lawns and later driving a beet truck for Scott Abo.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Annis and Thelma Andrew Holm; his wife, Margean; his older brother, Bill; and brother-in-law, Marvin Taylor.

He is survived by three sons, Randy (Maggie) of Heyburn, and Rusty (Susie) and Brad (DeeAnn) both of Burley; one daughter, Lori (Terro) Anderson of Inkom; two brothers, Don (Kay) of Pocatello, Idaho, and Steve (Cheryl) of Bountiful, Utah; one sister, Janet Taylor of Chatsworth, California; ten grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and his little dog, Squirt.

The funeral will be held at 11 a.m Monday, April 9, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints – Burley 4th Ward Chapel, 515 E. 16th St., in Burley. Officiating will be Bishop Adam Haynes. Burial will follow at Gem Memorial Gardens

Friends may call from 5 until 7 p.m. Sunday, April 8, at Rasmussen Funeral Home, 1350 E. 16th St., in Burley, and from 10 until 10:45 a.m. preceding the funeral service at the church.
