Patricia Anne 'Pat' Fenton

Jan. 7, 1942 - Jun. 18, 2020

Date of Service: Jun. 25, 2020

RUPERT – Patricia “Pat - Patty” Anne Fenton, a 78-year-old former Rupert resident peacefully passed away on June 18, 2020, surrounded by family.

The world was blessed on January 7, 1942, when she was born to Arthur and Edna Busacker in Sidney, Nebraska. There will never be someone so head strong, stubborn, and full of life as she was. Patricia loved and lived life to the fullest. Sadly, this grand robust personality slowly faded away with the dreaded Alzheimer’s disease.

She was the second youngest of five siblings and she learned quickly to kick her brother in the shins when he was swinging her around by her pigtails.

Patricia graduated from Pocatello High School in 1960. She met Ronald Fenton from Rupert on a blind date. This big-city girl and small-town farmer were married August 21, 1961. Patricia will always be remembered for her spunk, get up and go, and larger-than-life personality. She may have driven you crazy, but she was not afraid to show how much she loved you. She knew no strangers, only friends. If she had it and you needed it; it was yours, as she was a very giving person.

Patricia loved to snowmobile and ride on the motorcycle with Ron when they belonged to the Motorcycle Club of Rupert. She also loved music and would dance the night away whenever she had the chance. She was a fantastic mom, grandma, and great-grandma.

She is survived by her children, David (Tonia) Fenton of Paul, Idaho, and Rhonda (Troy) Nelson of Nampa, Idaho; brothers, Thomas Busacker of Chubbuck, Idaho, and William “Billy” Busacker of Eagle, Idaho; eight grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ron; her sister, Cora Chenoweth; brother, Arthur Busacker; sister-in-law and friend, Mernie Busacker; and great-grandchild, Wyatt Thornock.

Patricia’s family would like to thank the Stanciu family for welcoming Mom into their home and caring for her the last three years of her life.

The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 25, at Rasmussen-Wilson Funeral Home, 1350 E. 16th St., Burley, Idaho, where a viewing for friends and family will take place prior to the service from 10 until 10:45 a.m.. Burial will follow at the Paul Cemetery.
