David Kay Haskell

Mar. 17, 1945 - Nov. 18, 2020

DECLO – David Kay Haskell, a 75-year-old resident of Declo, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2020, at St. Luke’s Magic Valley Medical Center in Twin Falls, from complications of COVID-19.

David was born March 17, 1945, in Berkeley, California, the son of Merlin David and Irene Susan (Surrage) Haskell. He graduated from Declo High School in 1963, and subsequently attended Idaho State University completing his education in auto body. On Nov. 22, 1996, he married Sharon Kay Cole. Throughout his life he worked in the fabrication industry and, at the time of his death, he was employed at Streamline Precision Manufacturing. He enjoyed fishing, camping and attending auctions. He was also a gifted leather craftsman.

Survivors include his wife, Sharon Haskell of Declo; three children from a previous marriage, Leland (Sheila), Kristine (Kenny), and Jeff (Angie); five stepchildren, Paul Bell, Travis Bell, Robert (Sammy) Bell, Jason (Jessica) Musick, and Ty (Whitney) Clark; 22 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and his siblings, Betty Davies, Clarence (Julie) Phillips Jr., Ida (Vern) Wilkinson, and JoAnn Hurst.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Danny Phillips.

David requested that no services be held.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Rasmussen-Wilson Funeral Home of Burley.
