Salvador 'Chava' Cardenas

On January 1, 2021, Salvador “Chava” Cardenas Patino died at the young age of 20.

Chava had a caring heart and loved his mom, dad, brothers, and his large extended family and friends. He put them before himself and would go out of his way to support and show up for his family.

He enjoyed working on the ranch, training horses, hunting and being in the outdoors in general. He was very athletic and loved soccer.

Chava lived life to the fullest and will be dearly missed and his spirit will forever be in our hearts.

He was born on July 27, 2000, in Burley, Idaho, and is survived by his parents, Germán and Verónica Cárdenas; brothers, Jorge (Janette), Jesse, Efraín and Julián; and his nephews, Zavin and Kristian Cárdenas.

A vigil service will be held from 6:30 until 8:30 p.m. Thursday, January 7, with the recitation of the holy rosary beginning at 7 p.m. The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, January 8. All services will be held at St. Therese the Little Flower Catholic Church, 1601 Oakley Ave., in Burley. Burial will be in Gem Memorial Gardens.

Chava tenía un corazón bondadoso y amaba a su mamá, papá, hermanos y sus familia y amigos. Él los puso antes que a sí mismo y haría todo lo posible para apoyar a su familia.

Disfrutaba trabajar en el rancho, entrenar caballos, cazar y estar al aire libre en general. Era muy atlético y amaba el fútbol.

Chava vivió la vida al máximo y se le extrañará mucho y su espíritu estará por siempre en nuestros corazones.

Nació el 27 de Julio de 2000, en Burley, Idaho, y le sobreviven su padre, Germán Cárdenas Alcaraz; su madre, Verónica Patino Cárdenas; los hermanos, Jorge (Janette), Jesse, Efraín y Julián; y sus sobrinos, Zavin y Kristian Cárdenas.

Se llevará a cabo un servicio de vigilia de 6:30 p.m. -8:30 p.m. el jueves, 7 de Enero del 2021, con el santo rosario a las 7:00 p.m. La misa fúnebre se celebrará a las 11:00 a.m. el Viernes, 8 de Enero del 2021. Todos los servicios se llevarán a cabo en la iglesia católica St. Therese the Little Flower, 1601 Oakley Ave., en Burley. El entierro será en Gem Memorial Gardens.
