Catherine Joyce Beer

HEYBURN – Catherine Joyce Beer, 87, of Heyburn, and formerly of Twin Falls, was taken home to her Heavenly Father Saturday, April 3, 2021, surrounded by her family at her daughter’s home in Heyburn.

Catherine was born October 2, 1933, in Twin Falls, Idaho, the daughter of Armond C. and Mabel Andrews Murphy. She was born and raised in Twin Falls. She married Woody Beer in December of 1963 and raised their four children: Linda, Cleo, Eileen, and Kelly in Twin Falls.

Catherine worked at Magic Valley Memorial Hospital for many years in the X-Ray and Ultrasound department as a technician until her retirement.

Her greatest joy was time spent with family; her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren as well as extended family including nieces, nephews and cousins. She also enjoyed gardening and fishing with her husband and family.

Catherine is survived by her daughters, Linda (Dwaine) Thomson of Heyburn, and Eileen (Steve) Heins of Burley; and son, Kelly (Lori) Tsatsa of Billings, Montana; her brother, Larry C. (Linda) Murphy of Pocatello; 10 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by husband, Woody; daughter, Cleo Tsatsa; parents, Armond and Mabel; brothers, Wayne Murphy, and Clyde Murphy; and sister, Marilyn Nowlin.

Family and friends will be received from 9:30 until 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 10, at Rasmussen-Wilson Funeral Home, 1350 E. 16th St., in Burley, followed by a graveside service that will be held at 12 Noon, at Sunset Memorial Park, located at 2296 Kimberly Rd., in Twin Falls. Later that afternoon, a memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, located at 2410 Miller Ave. in Burley.

Catherine’s family encourages memorial contributions to be made to Encompass Hospice or the Greater Idaho Alzheimer’s Association.
