Aug. 25, 1968 - Jan. 5, 2022

Date of Service: Jan. 13, 2022

HEYBURN – Lisa Denise Stephenson, 53, of Heyburn, passed away at her home on Wednesday, January 5, 2022.

Lisa was born on August 25, 1968, in Burley, Idaho, to Larry and Sue Stephenson, joining her three older sisters, Lorry, Lana, and Shannon. Lisa was a beautiful and lively blonde-haired, blue-eyed little girl. She completed Larry and Sue’s family.

Lisa was a raised in the Mini-Cassia area and graduated from Burley High School in 1986 where she spent her high school years playing basketball for the Bobcats. After graduation Lisa continued her education at the College of Southern Idaho earning a degree in Hotel/Motel/Restaurant Management. Lisa spent many years of her career in a customer service and a hospitality role, her customers and employees loved her.

In 1987 Lisa met Scott McAlister and they had three beautiful boys, Brandon, Brodee, and Braxton. Lisa loved her boys more than anything and had a special bond with each of them. When Lisa became a grandma, she quickly gained the name “Grandma LeeLee” to Ryden, Brogan, Makenna, Brynlee, Nyxon, and Logan.

Lisa was the Green Bay Packers #1 fan. She enjoyed watching the Packers’ games with her family and was the leader of the PACK. GO PACK GO! Lisa loved deeply and if you were her friend you were her friend for life. Lisa was an avid fisherman and spent countless days fishing with her friends, her son, Brodee, and her grandkids. She loved and found peace in the mountains and she had a knack for decorating and crafting. Most of all she was fun and always up for a good joke and laugh.

Lisa is survived by her three sons, Brandon (Maci) McAlister, Brodee (Teagen) McAlister, and Braxton (Mikayla) McAlister; her parents, Larry and Sue Stephenson; her three sisters Lorry Nickel, Lana (Chris) Reichert, and Shannon (Jim) Gnesa; six grandchildren, whom she loved dearly, Ryden, Brogan, Makenna, Brynlee, Nyxon, and Logan; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Lisa was preceded in death by all her grandparents.

Family and friends will be received from 5 until 7 p.m. Thursday, January 13, at Rasmussen-Wilson Funeral Home, located at 1350 E. 16th St., in Burley.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests that you make a donation in her memory to a charity of your choice.

A celebration of life will be held this summer somewhere in the mountains at one of her favorite places.
